Marc Duerden is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
physician who graduated from Purdue University with a
bachelor degree (BS) in Chemistry and Indiana University
School of Medicine with a medical degree (MD). He graduated
from his residency training program at the Northwestern
University (Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago) in Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation.
He is currently working for National Government Services
(Medicare contractor) to develop and adjudicate the application
of Medicare Policies. He continues to practice part-time in his
clinical office and serve as an Associate Clinical Professor at
the Indiana University School of Medicine.
He is board certified in four areas including his primary board
certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has
subspecialty board certifications in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine,
Independent Medical Examinations and Disability Analysis. He
also serves as a Board Examiner for the American Board of
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Duerden has been recognized by being an Expert Network
Distinguished Physician, Best Doctors in America, Central
Indiana’s “Top Doctors” U.S. News & World Report, Indianapolis
Monthly Top Doctors, America’s Top Physicians, and several
other honors. He has served as the President of the
Indianapolis Medical Society, Indiana Society of Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the 7th District of the Indiana
State Medical Association. He has served on several Board of
Trustees, Board of Directors, Committee and Commissions over
the years.
